We're Back!

We're back from funfilled fabulous CENTRAL OHIO REGION! Yay!!!

Yet another great trip under our belts. We enjoy traveling with the Fertig family on these annual mini-vacations. Dawn thinks we have managed to travel through nearly every county in Ohio (whether we intended to or not!)

We gave a wave to the Hocking Hills region, then sped up to Xenia/Bellefontaine where we enjoyed the Bluejacket outdoor drama, Mac-A-Chee Castle (yes, but it will always be Mac n' Cheese castle to us ;)), and the Ohio Caverns (Great! More stuff to do underground!)

We opted for an impromptu stay a second night (yay Comfort Inn Bellefontaine rocks!) and a last-minute trip to Malabar Farms on our way home. Malabar Farm is breathtaking and I was delighted to discover that Louis Bromfield (creator of said farm and prolific Pulitzer Prize winning author) was well known for the fact that his dogs had run of the house (and did much damage along the way - big smelly beasts!) See, all the great writers loved dogs who behave badly.

All the while we traveld in the conversion van affectionately dubbed "the rolling turd" (Ala' the Robin Williams movie "RV")

Good times - and photos to follow!
