In the immortal words of Elton John - "Saturday nights all right for fightin'" - particularly if you hang out at ice hockey games.
Youngstown Steelhounds hockey ROCKS! They tied it up in the last 43 seconds of the game, held their own in overtime, and finally beat the Colorado Eagles in a nail-biting shoot-off.
Oh, and they broke into a brawl every 48 seconds or so - good times.
It was our first ever hockey game and less than ten minutes in, Kassie turned to me, eyes bright and said "Can girls play hockey?"
Thanks to Dawn Wickline for procuring us the free tickets (you rock too Dawn!), and Greg and Sonja for so generously providing the children with airhorns. This left me free to spend all our hard-earned money at the concession stand.
For $16.50 I received a fistful of popcorn and a thimbleful of soda - which we all enjoyed very much.
